Duties and responsibilities
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Review fact finds, file notes, client risk profile questionnaires etc. as provided by the Financial Advisers to gain an understanding of the client requirements discussed and agreed.
- Compile suitability reports
- Undertake necessary research and analysis including fund analysis, product comparison, product analysis, fund research, charges analysis.
- Pre-populate client application forms.
- Record monitor and report on progress.
- Deliver an efficient and valuable service by operating in a timely fashion and offering constructive ideas and feedback.
- Check files are fully compliant.
- To build a strong working relationship with clients in order to provide exceptional support in the delivery of their business strategy.
- To provide consistent, effective communication allowing clients to have confidence that their instructions and requests are understood.
- To drive your own Continual Professional Development by seeking opportunities to upskill in areas that you have gaps in knowledge.
Salary & Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of up to £40,000 PA

What does the successful candidate look like?
Essential:
- Level 4 diploma in financial planning (or equivalent DipPFS or DipFA)
- Experience with cashflow planning tools.
- Experience with using back office systems, platforms and research tools.
- Knowledge of Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax and the ability to carry out manual calculations.
- Ability to competently use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent written English and grammar.
- Ability to manage relationships.
- Ability to manage own workload but to also know when to ask for help.
- Based in the North West or West Yorkshire
Desirable:
- Minimum 2 years experience within a Paraplanning role.
- Level 6 qualification (or close to).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (including Sharepoint).
- To be comfortable challenging advice.
- Management/training experience.
Location: Business based in Preston, Lancashire. This role is home-based, though regular face-to-face catch ups will take place; the candidate will therefore be based in the North West.
