Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to act as a Senior Chartered Paraplanner, to work within a talented and technical planning team with an opportunity to support Advisers at clients’ meetings should the need arise.  The candidate should feel comfortable dealing with clients directly if the need arises either following a meeting or if there is a need to proactively progress repeated advice actions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • To build a strong working relationship with the Advisers in order to provide an exceptional Paraplanning service to support the delivery of their business strategy.

 

  • To produce high-quality suitability reports offering specialist advice and planning across Investment, protection, and pensions.

 

  • To form a solid partnership with the broader Paraplanning and Client Account Management team to manage a structured but adaptable workflow to suit the demands of a dynamic practice.

 

  • To collaborate with the Paraplanning Manger and Advisers to offer the best solutions to fit the Client’s needs and wants.

 

  • Build a strong working relationship with your hub and the wider Paraplanning team, and run a disciplined but flexible workflow to accommodate the needs of a busy practice.

 

  • To be competent and compliant during all stages of the research and report compilation.

 

  • To drive your own Continual Professional Development by seeking opportunities to upskill in areas that you have gaps in knowledge and work collaboratively with other team members to cross skill.

 

  • To ensure that all of our processes and the client experience is built around the use our of online Client portal and that we are using its full CRM capability to capture all relevant client detail to provide a personalised proactive service and to miss zero advice opportunities.

 

The Ideal Employee:

Skills

 

  • You will have the required skills in Adobe, Word, Excel and Outlook, alongside other system-specific knowledge, to create all necessary documentation, templates and reports to brand guidelines

 

  • You must be Level 6 Chartered through the Cii.

 

  • You must have at least 4 years of Paraplanning experience within a busy Financial Planning business.

 

  • You must be able to get quickly up to speed with and understand the possibilities of CRM software (Enable) and consider ways of getting more out of the system.

  • You work with the utmost discretion using impeccable judgement to share and act on management information where required.

Package Details

         

  • The successful candidate for this role will be able to further their Financial Planning career at a very busy award-winning multi-disciplinary financial planning practice.

 

  • You will receive a basic salary in the region of £60,000 per annum, pension contribution, holiday allowance, a benefits package and a bonus scheme.

 

  • Benefits package includes: Group personal pension, 4X DIS, Permanent Health Insurance (income protection), Private Medical Insurance, Exams and professional development grant, Heka allowance (a personal wellbeing and experience platform).

 

  • Working from home and flexible working is an option with this role, ideally 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home but the discussion will be open for the successful individuals’ personal circumstances.

 

  • You will report and work directly alongside the senior financial planner.
